01 — Farming

What We Receive from the Soil, We Return to the Soil

At our farm, we grow our tea without using pesticides or chemical fertilizers during cultivation.

Our harvest focuses mainly on the first of spring. Afterwards, we return as many of the pruned tea leaves and branches as possible to the fields. We also compost the grass cut around the farm and use it to make our own fertilizer.

We return as much as possible of what we receive from the soil.

In this way, we hope to preserve healthy soil where tea can continue to grow ten, twenty, and many more years from now.

02 — Packaging

Thinking Beyond the Package

We choose our packaging materials with care—protecting the tea from light, moisture, and oxygen while also considering what happens to the packaging after use.

Our main product packaging is made partly from plant-derived materials, and our tea bags use plant-based SOILON® mesh.

Three questions guide every packaging decision:

1. Does it protect the tea properly?

2. Can we use less material?

3. What happens to it after use?

We will continue searching for better choices while keeping our tea well protected.

03 — Community

Bringing People Together Around the Farm

In 2025, we purchased a traditional Japanese house near the tea fields and began restoring it little by little.

Volunteers from across Japan and around the world come to stay with us.

We work in the fields, make tea, and gather around the table. Even when we come from different countries and speak different languages, spending time together allows connections to grow naturally.

Creating a farm where people can meet and learn from one another.

With tea and the fields at its heart, we are cultivating a place that brings people together.

04 — Communication

A Relationship Where Growers and Tea Drinkers Know One Another

At our farm, we value meeting our customers in person and sharing our tea directly with them at markets and events.

We speak in our own words about where and how the tea is grown, while listening directly to the people who drink it.

These conversations help shape the tea we make next.

A place where tea growers and tea drinkers can meet and get to know one another.

We share our tea through relationships built face to face.

05 — Sharing

Passing What We Receive On to Others

At our farm, we donate a portion of our profits to organizations that I have personally worked with over the years.

One of these is Friedensdorf International in Germany, where I spent approximately eight months supporting its work in 2021.

The experiences and connections I received there can now be passed on to someone else.

By sharing not only money, but also knowledge, experience, time, and opportunities, we hope to expand this small circle of giving, little by little.
